Working with nettle, linen and organic materials, her woven work is low-impact and fully naturally biodegradable. Most recently, she collaborated with a local group of flax enthusiasts to create a pair of linen denim jeans. This is a pioneering example of communities’ power to be part of a positive textile future. Based on the Hampshire/Surrey border, Brigitte teaches fibre processing workshops and gives demonstrations at heritage museums dedicated to preserving traditional crafts.
